Samnite Museum (Museo Samnitico)
Dozens of museums around Italy specialize in preserving items found in their immediate vicinity, and the country's endless history means Campbasso is no different. Remnants from the first people of Molise, the Samnites, are the museum's most precious belongings. The Samnites controlled the region for three hundred years before finally losing their tiny plot of land to the Romans in 290 BC.
